BoothLabPrivacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how BoothLab ("the App") collects, uses, and protects your information. By using the App, you agree to the terms outlined below.
1. Information We Collect
We do not collect or store any personal information such as your name, email address, or other identifying details. You do not need to create an account or log in to use the App.
However, we do collect anonymous data through trusted third-party tools for the purpose of improving the App:
- Firebase Analytics – to understand general app usage and performance
- Firebase Crashlytics – to diagnose app crashes and stability issues
In addition, the App connects directly to these services when you choose to use the corresponding feature:
- Google Sign-In and Google Drive – only if you connect a Google account to upload your event files
- Dropbox – only if you connect a Dropbox account to upload your event files
- Apple – your App Store receipt is sent to Apple to verify an active subscription
These tools collect information such as device type, OS version, app usage events, crash logs and a random identifier generated for your app installation. We never send your name, email address, phone numbers, file names, file contents or the URLs of your uploads, and we do not assign you an account identifier.
2. User-Generated Content
Videos created using BoothLab are:
- Saved locally on your device
- Optionally uploaded to your own Google Drive or Dropbox account, if you connect one
We do not access, collect, transmit, or store the videos you create. BoothLab operates no servers of its own: your files stay on your device unless you connect your own cloud account, and in that case they are uploaded to that account and nowhere else.
Please note: QR code sharing works by creating a "anyone with the link" share link for the uploaded file in your own Google Drive or Dropbox account. That is what allows a guest to scan the code and download their photo or video without signing in — but it also means anyone who obtains the link can open the file. You can revoke these links at any time from your Google Drive or Dropbox account.
3. Subscriptions and Payments
All in-app subscriptions and payments are handled exclusively through Apple’s App Store. BoothLab does not collect or process any billing or payment information.
4. Data Security
Since we do not collect personal information or store content on our servers, there is no personal data at risk on our side. However, please be aware that any content stored on your device or cloud account is subject to your own platform's security (e.g., Apple, Google Drive).
5. Children’s Privacy
BoothLab does not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. If we become aware that such data has been collected, we will take steps to delete it.
6. Third-Party Services
The App may use or link to third-party services such as Apple, Google Drive, Firebase, or others. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these external providers. Please review their privacy policies for more information:

7. Your Choices
The anonymous analytics and crash reporting described above are active whenever you use the App, and the App does not currently offer a setting to turn them off; uninstalling the App stops all collection. You are in full control of your generated content and storage: the App uploads nothing unless you connect a cloud account, and you can disconnect it at any time.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected in this document with a revised effective date. Continued use of the App constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
